Iran Warns Ships Against Bypassing Designated Strait of Hormuz Route
Iran Agrees to 60-Day Free Safe Passage for Commercial Ships Through Strait of Hormuz
TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Iran has agreed to allow the free and safe passage of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz for a period of 60 days under a memorandum of understanding reached this month, aimed at bringing a lasting end to the conflict.
According to the agreement, commercial ships will be permitted to travel between the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, and vice versa, without being charged transit fees during the 60-day period.
The measure is intended to restore confidence in one of the world’s busiest and most strategically important shipping routes while supporting ongoing peace efforts.
