Iran Launches 54th Operation Using Sajil Missile

Iran Deploys Sajil Missile In 54th Wave Of Strikes

TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Iran has initiated the 54th wave of its Operation Promised Truth targeting Israel, deploying the powerful Sajil Strategic Ballistic Missile in practice for the first time, according to Iranian authorities. The operation, named “Yazhara” by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reportedly focused on Israeli military and command centers in the region as a countermeasure to what Iran described as American and Israeli aggression.

The Sajil missile is a solid-fuel ballistic missile with an estimated range of 2,000 to 2,500 kilometers (1,240 to 1,550 miles) and can travel at speeds exceeding Mach 13, approximately 13 times the speed of sound. Its solid-fuel design allows rapid deployment and quick launch capabilities, making it a strategic asset for Iran’s military operations.

Media reports indicate that the Sajil missile could theoretically reach targets in countries including Egypt, parts of Sudan, most of Ukraine, southern regions of Russia, western China, India, as well as large areas of the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Iranian outlets highlighted the missile’s symbolic name, linking it to an incident in Surah Al-Fil, where “Sajil stones” were said to destroy an invading enemy.

The launch marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict in the region, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to counterattacks against perceived foreign aggression, and demonstrates the expanding operational capabilities of the Iranian armed forces.
