iPhone 16 Pricing: What to Expect in Pakistan
Apple has officially unveiled its latest iPhone 16 series, which includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. This new lineup introduces several notable enhancements, such as the advanced A18 and A18 Pro 3nm chipsets, new generative AI capabilities, improved photography features, and other cutting-edge specifications.
Although the iPhone 16 series has not yet hit the market, its global release, including in Pakistan, is anticipated later this month.
Given the starting price of $800 for the base iPhone 16 in the US, we can estimate the potential cost in Pakistan. Converting $800 to Pakistani Rupees at the current exchange rate yields approximately Rs222,735. When factoring in a 25% sales tax, the estimated price rises to around Rs279,154.
However, this estimate does not include additional profit margins that local retailers might apply. Therefore, the iPhone 16 is likely to be priced over Rs330,000 in Pakistan, with variations depending on the retailer.
The iPhone 16 Plus, with a starting price of $900, could potentially reach around Rs370,000 in Pakistan.
The most premium model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, priced at $1,199 in the US, may exceed Rs500,000 locally, with higher storage options potentially reaching up to Rs600,000.
Apple has emphasized significant improvements in battery life and new camera features for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.
Please note that these price estimates are speculative and the actual costs will be confirmed once the phones officially launch in Pakistan.
