Naqvi Affirms Commitment to Stability in Kurram, Praises Grand Jirga’s Role

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to discuss critical national issues, with a focus on peace efforts in the conflict-affected Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The leaders deliberated on the political and security situation in the country, emphasizing the need for stability in Kurram. Both expressed satisfaction with the timely arrival of relief goods convoys to Parachinar and reiterated their commitment to resolving the region’s issues. Naqvi assured that all relevant stakeholders were on board to address the challenges in Kurram.

“We remain steadfast in our resolve to bring stability to the area despite attempts to distort the Kurram issue,” Naqvi stated. He also praised the Grand Jirga for its role in fostering dialogue and reconciliation in the region.

Naqvi acknowledged Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s positive contributions to Pakistani politics and extended his well wishes for the JUI-F chief’s health.
