Pakistan Celebrates Independence Day with Quranic Recitations, Prayers

Peshawar: The day commenced with Fajr prayers, where devotees offered sincere prayers for Pakistan’s peace, stability, and progress. Special Quran recitation ceremonies were held to honor the martyrs of the Pakistan Freedom Movement, whose sacrifices paved the way for the country’s independence. The events paid tribute to both the martyrs and the heroes of the Pakistan Movement, acknowledging their lasting impact. The observances also expressed solidarity with those who continue to defend the nation, recognizing their ongoing sacrifices for Pakistan’s security.

Independence Day: Chief Ministers Highlight the Power of Unity

In Peshawar, the Pakistan Army organized a special ceremony for the families of martyrs on Independence Day. The event included a floral tribute at the martyrs’ memorial, attended by the families of martyrs and other participants. Students from Army Public School and Special Children’s School also participated, presenting songs, speeches, and tableaus that paid homage to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s elders and the Pakistan Army. The ceremony concluded with a stunning fireworks display.
