Imran Khan Faces 186 Legal Cases Nationwide, Reports Reveal

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior, Islamabad Police, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have submitted comprehensive reports to the court, detailing the growing number of legal cases filed against Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). According to the latest figures, Khan is currently facing a total of 186 cases across the country.

The report reveals that Punjab has seen the highest number of cases, with 99 registered against the former prime minister. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two cases have been filed, while 74 cases have been registered in the capital, Islamabad.

In addition to these cases, the FIA has reported that seven inquiries or cases are still pending against Khan, while NAB is investigating three other cases. One of the significant ongoing legal matters is Khan’s appeal against his conviction in the Toshakhana criminal case, which is still under consideration by the courts.

A notable number of these cases are linked to protests organized by Imran Khan in October, November, and December, which have sparked significant legal action. Following the D-Chowk protest, 14 new cases were filed in Islamabad, raising the total number of cases in the city to 76.
