PML-N Symbol of Public Trust and Delivery, Declares Punjab CM
Lahore – (Bureau Chief)-Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in her message on World Hope Day, said that “Hope is a powerful force that gives us the strength to move forward. Even in times of despair, it helps us find a ray of light.”
She emphasized that the Pakistan Muslim League (N) has become a symbol of hope for the people and is working tirelessly to fulfill the expectations of the nation. “People hoped that if the PML-N returned, they would get laptops, scholarships, and free medicines—and we are delivering on those hopes,” she added.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism that every child in Punjab will receive quality education, scholarships, and access to laptops. She reiterated her commitment to ensuring healthcare for all, housing for the homeless, and prosperity for farmers. She said, “The land of Punjab will flourish, and every farmer will reap the rewards of their labor.”
Maryam Nawaz also expressed hope that the people of Palestine and Kashmir will soon witness the dawn of freedom.
Punjab Launches Pakistan’s First Dedicated Riot Management Police Force
In a landmark move, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has established Pakistan’s first dedicated Riot Management Police Force, aimed at protecting public life, property, and national infrastructure from mob violence and unrest.

The force, initially comprising 5,000 personnel, has undergone intensive training at the Police Training Center in Farooqabad. The first batch of 3,000 officers has completed an eight-week professional training program based on manuals and techniques from the United States, Turkey, Europe, and other developed nations. The training was delivered with the support of riot control experts from Turkey.
Maryam Nawaz Launches Pakistan’s First Riot Management Police Force
A passing-out parade was held to mark the completion of training, where the officers demonstrated crowd control techniques and protest management drills. The event was attended by senior police officials, including Additional IG Khurram Shakoor and DIG Riot Management Asad Sarfaraz.
Each regional headquarters will be allocated 250 trained personnel, organized into specialized sub-teams including:
First Aid Team
Drone Team
Crowd Engagement and Negotiation Team
Crowd Control Unit
Arrest and Evacuation Units
K-9 Dog Handlers
Sniper Support Units
The Riot Management Police is equipped with modern gear and trained to prevent planned attacks on private and public properties. The force aims to control violent protests in a professional, non-lethal, and structured manner, minimizing damage and preserving public confidence.
The Chief Minister said, “This force will not only protect lives and properties but also help improve Pakistan’s image internationally by handling civil unrest with discipline and professionalism.”
The provincial cabinet had earlier approved the establishment of the force under Maryam Nawaz’s leadership. Personnel were selected based on physical fitness, discipline, and alertness, and will be offered a special allowance in recognition of their professional responsibilities.
Outstanding trainees—including Inspector Hafiz Khurram Shehzad, Sub-Inspector Shan Ali, and others—were awarded during the ceremony for their exemplary performance.
