Hayden Panettiere Spent Weeks In Malibu Rehab

NEW YORK: (Showbiz Desk) – Actress Hayden Panettiere had reportedly spent several weeks at a rehabilitation facility in Malibu shortly before her death, according to a report by Page Six.

Panettiere died on August 16 in Greenville, South Carolina. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office classified her death as accidental and determined that it resulted from the toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine. The autopsy found no injuries that contributed to her death.

According to information cited in the report, Panettiere’s former partner Brian Hickerson or his brother, Zach, told authorities that the actress had been receiving treatment at a drug rehabilitation facility in Malibu until several weeks before her death.

Her father, Alan “Skip” Panettiere, also reportedly told investigators that his daughter had recently completed a two- or three-week rehabilitation program.

The report further shed light on Panettiere’s previous struggles with substance use. Her father reportedly said she had battled addiction since her early 20s and had undergone treatment at multiple rehabilitation facilities over the years.

Authorities have continued examining the circumstances surrounding the substances involved in her death. Her representative had previously urged the public to rely on verified information while the investigation was underway.

The coroner’s findings confirmed that fentanyl, along with several other substances, contributed to Panettiere’s death, which was officially classified as accidental.

Panettiere was widely known for her roles as Claire Bennet in Heroes and Juliette Barnes in Nashville. She also appeared in the Scream film franchise.
