This surge was not merely coincidental; it reflected Pakistan’s recent diplomatic achievements. The primary reason was Pakistan’s reported role in facilitating a ceasefire between Iran and the United States, informally referred to as the “Islamabad Agreement.” This two-week ceasefire reportedly played an important role in easing tensions in the Middle East.

On X (formerly Twitter), hashtags calling for the Nobel Peace Prize for Field Marshal Asim Munir ranked among the top trends. Many users praised his diplomatic efforts and urged that he be nominated for the prestigious award.
