Gold Silver Prices Drop in Global and Pakistan Markets

Precious Metals See Continued Price Fall Across Markets

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Gold and silver prices continued their downward trend on Friday in both global and local markets, reflecting a broader decline in precious metals. In the international market, gold prices dropped by $29 per ounce, settling at $4,685, which subsequently impacted rates across Pakistan.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs2,900, bringing it down to Rs490,862. Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs2,486, closing at Rs420,835.

Silver prices also witnessed a similar decline. The per tola rate dropped by Rs142 to Rs7,957, while 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs122 to settle at Rs6,821. In global trading, spot silver slipped by 0.7 percent to $74.88 per ounce. Meanwhile, platinum prices declined by 1.4 percent to $1,978.84, whereas palladium showed a slight increase of 0.4 percent, reaching $1,475.35.
