Ghee, Cooking Oil Prices Rise Further in Pakistan

Traders say the persistent increase in prices is adding to the financial strain on consumers,

LAHORE (Web Desk): Prices of ghee and cooking oil have registered a sharp increase, reflecting ongoing inflationary pressure despite recent fluctuations in petroleum product rates.

According to grocery merchants, the price of first-grade ghee and cooking oil has risen by Rs. 30 per kilogram, pushing rates up from Rs. 560 to Rs. 590 per kilogram.

Similarly, second-grade cooking oil has become costlier by Rs. 35, increasing from Rs. 510 to Rs. 545 per liter. Meanwhile, second-grade ghee has gone up by Rs. 25 per kilogram, rising from Rs. 510 to Rs. 535 per kilogram.

Traders say the persistent increase in prices is adding to the financial strain on consumers, as essential kitchen items continue to become more expensive.
