Pakistan Gold Rates Increase for Second Consecutive Day

KARACHI: (Finance Reporter) – Gold prices in Pakistan increased by Rs1,100 per tola on Saturday, taking the rate to Rs442,036, according to 24NewsHD TV channel.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 10-gram gold also rose by Rs943 to Rs378,974.

The latest increase followed a reported rise of Rs600 per tola on Friday. However, the supplied figures list Friday’s price at Rs435,036, compared with Rs434,436 a day earlier, indicating a Rs600 increase.

In the international market, gold prices rose by $2.43 per ounce, according to Reuters, amid fluctuations in global trading. A slightly weaker US dollar provided support to gold prices.

Domestic gold rates are influenced by movements in international bullion prices and changes in currency exchange rates.
