Global Condemnation Follows Attack on Jaffar Express in Balochistan

ISLAMBAAD: The United States and China have strongly condemned the brutal attack on the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan’s Bolan city on Tuesday, which left passengers held hostage by terrorists. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a US-designated terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the assault.

In a statement, the US Embassy in Islamabad expressed deep sympathy for the victims and reaffirmed its commitment to Pakistan’s security, pledging support in the fight against terrorism. “The Pakistani people deserve to live free from violence and fear,” the embassy stated.

China also condemned the attack, with the Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasizing its opposition to all forms of terrorism and reaffirming support for Pakistan’s efforts to achieve peace and stability.

Meanwhile, former President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the attack, lauding security forces for their swift response and successful rescue of 190 passengers. He denounced the terrorists and emphasized that no religion or society condones such violence.

The ongoing rescue operation has resulted in the killing of 30 terrorists, and a large number of hostages, including women and children, have been freed. The departure of the Jaffar Express has been suspended for three days due to security concerns.
