According to the statement given by IESCO head Dr Muhammad Amjad khan, on the instructions of Federal Minister Power Division Sardar Owais Ahmed Leghari, the series of actions against the electricity evaders has been accelerated and all the field officers have been warned to ensure 100% collection of electricity dues from defaulters. Apart from disconnecting the meters and transformers of the non-paying consumers, legal actions may also intiated against them.

During the campaign launched by IESCO for the recovery of electricity dues, more than 2 billion 47 crore 33 lakh dues have been collected from 97 thousand 751 running and dead defaulters

Chief Executive IESCO Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan has said that no concession has been taken from any insolvent and the series of actions will continue without discrimination. He has requested the consumers to pay the electricity bills on time
