In Addition, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced on Wednesday the postponement of the local body elections in Islamabad, originally scheduled for September 29. Additionally, the Election Commission of Pakistan reviewed several political parties for not meeting the constitutional mandate to allocate 5% of election tickets to women. On Wednesday, a four-member bench led by ECP member Nisar Durrani held a hearing to address this issue.

During the Proceedings, the ECP examined ticket distribution data from various parties. For example, the lawyer for BNP Mengal revealed that the party had nominated 27 candidates for the provincial assembly, of which only two were women, and 11 candidates for the National Assembly, with no women included.
