Dania Shah Files for Security After Receiving Threats
Dania Shah and New Husband Seek Government Protection Amid Serious Threats
Dania Shah, the widow of the late Pakistani TV host Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, and her new husband, Hakeem Shahzad Ahmed, are seeking government protection after receiving serious threats.
The couple has submitted a petition to the Multan High Court, alleging that they have been targeted with threatening calls from international numbers. The threats reportedly demand that Shahzad divorce Dania or face severe consequences.

Despite alerting the authorities and requesting security, they have not yet received any formal protection.
The petition underscores the seriousness of the threats, especially considering Dania’s previous marriage to Dr. Liaquat Hussain, who passed away earlier this year.
The couple is prepared to fund their own security measures if necessary.
Justice Asim Hafeez, who is overseeing the case, has directed the Deputy Commissioner and CPO Multan to address the petition by September 17th and respond to the couple’s request for protection.
Dania Shah publicly announced her marriage to Shahzad, a lawyer, last month. Following their wedding, the couple has been facing disturbing threats, prompting them to seek legal and governmental support for their safety.
