CTD Punjab arrests 13 terrorists 58 operations — Major Terror Plot Foiled
Punjab – (Web Desk) – In a major security breakthrough, CTD Punjab arrests 13 terrorists 58 operations were conducted across the province, successfully stopping a series of planned attacks against law enforcement agencies.
The Counter Terrorism Department carried out these intelligence-based operations across eight districts. These districts included Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhang, Chiniot, and Mianwali.
During the operations, security forces recovered dangerous materials. These included four IED bombs, eight detonators, 15 feet of protected fuse wire, explosive material, restricted stickers, propaganda books, and cash currency.
One of the arrested terrorists, Mukhtar, was confirmed as a member of the Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khwarij. This banned outfit has been linked to several terror activities across Pakistan.
The thirteen arrested terrorists were named as Mukhtar Ahmad, Younus, Feroze Khan, Wali, Awais, Farman, Momin, Adnan, Raja Faisal, Raza Khan, Ghulam Shabbir, Rao Sajid, and Mukhtar Shah.
All arrested individuals were reportedly planning coordinated attacks on law enforcement personnel across Punjab. The CTD acted swiftly on intelligence reports to neutralize this serious threat.
This operation reflects the continued commitment of Pakistani security forces to maintain peace and protect citizens from terrorist threats.
