Cockroach Janta Party Website Taken Down — Founder Accuses Indian Government
CJP Founder Claims Cockroach Janta Party Website Taken Down by Government
CJP – (Web Desk) – The Cockroach Janta Party website taken down controversy has shocked millions of supporters across India. Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the satirical movement, publicly accused the Indian government of shutting down the group’s official website on Saturday.
Dipke, currently a student at Boston University, launched the Cockroach Janta Party — commonly known as the CJP — just one week ago. He started it after India’s Chief Justice Surya Kant compared unemployed young people to cockroaches during a court hearing.
The Chief Justice later clarified that his remarks were directed at people with fake degrees, not India’s youth in general. He even called young Indians “the pillars of a developed India.” But by then, the damage was already done — and a movement had been born.
Within days, the CJP’s Instagram account crossed 22 million followers. That number more than doubled the BJP’s official Instagram following of nine million, which is remarkable for a party that has existed for over 40 years.
Dipke also reported that his personal Instagram account was hacked, along with the CJP’s official Instagram page. Despite these setbacks, the movement kept growing. Over one million people signed up to join in just one week.
The CJP is demanding the resignation of India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Around 600,000 people signed their petition. This comes after allegations of exam paper leaks forced the cancellation of a major government medical entrance test, triggering large protests across the country.
Dipke summed up the movement’s spirit simply. “Those in power think citizens are cockroaches and parasites,” he said. “They should know that cockroaches breed in rotten places. That’s what India is today.”
