Aly Goni expressed his heartbreak on Instagram, sharing a video of the victim’s parents. He wrote, “This breaks my heart. I couldn’t sleep last night thinking about what her parents must be enduring and what she went through. Crying, shouting, feeling helpless. A 31-year-old doctor who wanted to save lives, but what about her life? All her hard work and dreams are gone. Humanity is dead. Despite 78 years of independence, women are still unsafe at their workplaces.”

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar posted a somber message on a black background, stating: “Still waiting for the day when all women can be independent and safe.”

Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, shared her shock: “Another horrific rape has come to light. Let us first and foremost pray for her and her family. Women have always been pivotal to the growth and development of our country. Workplaces, classrooms, and homes must be safe and empowering spaces. We need to unite against the mindsets that objectify women or view them as easy prey.”

Sara Ali Khan took to her Instagram story to call for “justice for women.”

Veteran actress Soni Razdan voiced her frustration, stating: “I am so tired of hearing the same old promises about ‘protecting women’ and granting them ‘rights.’ Women wouldn’t need protection if men learned not to abuse them. Women already have rights; no one needs to ‘grant’ them. It’s time to stop talking and start acting to make India safe for women.”

Actress Aditi Rao Hydari supported this sentiment by sharing the post with a 100 percent emoji.

Digangana Suryavanshi posted a picture of the victim, captioning it: “We failed as humans, we failed as a society, we failed you.” She questioned, “Are we really free???”
