Blast Near Swat Police Station Injures Several, Suicide Attack Suspected

Swat: (Special Desk) – A powerful explosion near the gate of a police station in Kabal, Swat, injured several people, including police personnel and civilians, on Sunday. The blast occurred while a peaceful protest by local youth was taking place nearby, resulting in a large crowd being present at the scene.

According to initial reports, more than 10 people were injured, while authorities fear there may also be fatalities. Police officials said early evidence suggests the possibility of a suicide attack, although the exact nature of the explosion has not yet been confirmed.

Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the site with ambulances and medical staff, providing first aid before shifting the injured to nearby hospitals. Rescue and emergency operations remained underway as officials worked to determine the full extent of the casualties.

The District Police Officer (DPO) Swat said a human head was recovered from the blast site, raising suspicions of a suicide bombing. Police and other law enforcement agencies have sealed off the area, collected forensic evidence, and launched a detailed investigation while tightening security across the locality.
