PPP Will Clean Sweep South Punjab in Next Polls: Saleem Haider

Rahim Yar Khan–(Special Correspondent)-Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan received a warm welcome from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers during his visit to Rahim Yar Khan. Addressing party members and the media, the Governor expressed strong optimism about the PPP’s prospects in the next general elections, confidently stating that the party would clean sweep across South Punjab.

He reiterated that the doors of the Governor House are open for all party workers, assuring them of his constant support. “If any PPP worker faces a problem, I am just a phone call away,” he said, emphasizing unity within the party ranks.

Highlighting the PPP’s role in strengthening democracy, the Governor praised President Asif Ali Zardari’s sacrifices, stating that “he spent 14 years in prison for the sake of the country.” He also hailed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the future leader of the nation, calling him “the next young Prime Minister of Pakistan.”

Governor Saleem Haider further underscored the PPP’s continued efforts to revive the national economy, and noted that the PPP and PML-N alliance is committed to leading the country towards progress and prosperity. “Together, we will ensure development and stability in Pakistan,” he remarked.

On national security, the Governor said Pakistan has “defeated India in key areas, bringing global recognition to the country,” and called for stronger efforts to resolve the Balochistan issue, stressing that peace in the region is essential. He accused India of being involved in spreading terrorism in Balochistan.

Governor Haider emphasized the need for development projects, including roads and infrastructure in the riverine ‘Kacha’ area, and assured that operations against criminal gangs in those regions are ongoing. He also appreciated Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi’s development vision, stating that PPP stands in agreement with it.

“The PPP is committed to the country’s democratic and economic progress,” he said. “We must take the people of Balochistan along and deliver a message of peace.”
