

MUZAFFARABAD: (Web Desk) – Security forces have arrested Shaukat Nawaz Mir, a core member of the banned Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee (JKJPAC), during an intelligence-based operation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), according to sources.
Sources said the operation was launched after authorities received credible information that Mir was present in Sangar Phatare, a suburb of Dhirkot.
Acting on the intelligence, security personnel raided a house where Mir was believed to be hiding. However, he was not found at the location during the initial search.

During the raid, officials detained the individual who allegedly provided shelter to the wanted suspect for questioning.
Following the initial operation, security agencies expanded the search to nearby areas. According to sources, Mir was eventually traced and arrested from a nearby forest after an extensive search operation.
No official statement has yet been issued regarding the charges against Mir or whether additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
