Balochistan Operation Shaban: 5 Terrorists Gunned Down
Security Forces Continue Crackdown as Militants Killed Balochistan Toll Rises
Balochistan – (Sraff Reporter/Web Desk) – Operation Shaban Balochistan is moving forward with fresh strength, as security forces killed five more militants in new strikes across the province. This brings the total number of militants killed under this operation to 76, officials confirmed on Monday.
Security sources shared that since July 5, a combined total of 114 fighters have lost their lives. This number includes deaths from Operation Shaban as well as other intelligence-based missions carried out across Balochistan. Officials say the mission will not stop until every last militant is removed from the region.
Just a day earlier, four other fighters linked to India were killed in the Saran Tangai area. At that point, the death count stood at 71. The number kept climbing as new operations were launched almost every day.
Security teams also found a large amount of weapons at the sites where militants were killed. These included M4 rifles, submachine guns, rocket launchers, and mobile phones. Officials say this shows the militants were well equipped and ready for prolonged attacks.
Operation Shaban began after a deadly assault on the Mangi Dam police station in Ziarat. The Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police are jointly running this mission to restore peace in the area.
While security forces have caused heavy damage to militant networks, the human cost has also been high. Forty-two people, including soldiers and ordinary citizens, lost their lives in three major attacks in recent weeks.
ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry earlier stated that militants backed by India attacked a police checkpoint. He said police fought back bravely and killed 15 attackers during the first clash.
Nine police officers were martyred during that early fight. Reports also revealed that militants took some officers hostage before backup forces could arrive at the scene.
Pakistan has seen a sharp rise in terror attacks, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the Afghan Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021. This has pushed security forces to launch several counter operations.
In response, Pakistan started Operation Ghazab lil-Haq. This mission targets terrorist hideouts near the Afghan border and has already resulted in the deaths of many Afghan Taliban fighters, along with injuries to hundreds more.
Tensions have also grown at the border. In October 2025, fighting broke out after Afghan Taliban forces and allied groups launched sudden attacks on Pakistani posts. More than 200 fighters were killed in the clashes, while Pakistan lost 23 soldiers defending its territory.
Despite multiple talks between the two nations, no lasting peace deal has been reached. Officials say the main issue remains the Afghan Taliban’s unwillingness to act against terror groups hiding on their soil.
As Operation Shaban Balochistan continues, security officials remain firm in their mission. They say every operation brings the region one step closer to lasting peace and safety for local residents.
