“Balochistan Government to Provide Fully Funded Scholarships to Top Students”
Quetta_Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti visited the Science College affected by a devastating fire and directed the Department of Communication and Construction to reconstruct the main block. He also announced the establishment of a faculty named after martyred Professor Nazima Talib in Girls Post Graduate College, Quetta.
During his visit to the Science College, the Chief Minister was briefed by the Vice Principal about the fire incident. He praised the Vice Principal’s efforts in containing the fire and saving valuable assets. The Chief Minister directed the Education Department to appreciate and encourage the Vice Principal’s services.
The Chief Minister also announced the supply of 500 laptops for the teaching staff and students of Government Post Graduate College, Quetta. He emphasized the importance of technology in education and said that the laptops would help students and teachers to access modern educational resources.
Addressing the first BS convocation of Government Post Graduate College, Quetta, the Chief Minister congratulated the students, teachers, and staff on their achievement. He emphasized the importance of women’s education and said that no society can progress without it. He announced a program to provide fully funded scholarships to top students from each district of Balochistan to pursue higher education in top universities around the world.
The Chief Minister also praised the Provincial Education Minister, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, for her efforts in promoting education in Balochistan. He said that the provincial government is paying special attention to education and health sectors and has allocated 26 billion rupees for education.
Balochistan CM Condemns Attack on Police Patrol Team in Panjgur”
In a separate incident, the Chief Minister expressed grief and regret over the firing on a police patrol team in Panjgur, resulting in the martyrdom of Sub-Inspector Shakeel Ahmed. He condemned the attack and praised the security forces for their sacrifices. He said that the morale of the security forces cannot be reduced and that targeting a policeman on patrol is condemnable.
The Chief Minister directed the authorities to take immediate action against the perpetrators and to provide full support to the family of the martyred Sub-Inspector. He said that the government will not tolerate any act of terrorism and will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the people of Balochistan.
