Azan Owais Scores Century On Dream Test Debut

Azan Owais Debut Century Highlights Pakistan Batting In Dhaka Test

DHAKA: (Web Desk) – On the third day of the Dhaka Test, Pakistan witnessed a mixed batting display as debutant Azan Owais struck a memorable century in his very first Test appearance against Bangladesh. By the time half the side had been dismissed, Pakistan had reached 240 runs with five wickets down.

Azan Owais became only the 14th Pakistani cricketer to score a century on Test debut. He reached his milestone off 153 balls, hitting 14 boundaries before being dismissed for 103 runs.

Another debutant, Abdullah Fazal, also made a strong impression by scoring a half-century in his maiden Test innings. He was eventually dismissed after contributing 60 runs from 102 deliveries.

Pakistan’s innings suffered setbacks in the middle order as captain Shan Masood was dismissed for just 9 runs. The situation worsened when Saud Shakeel fell for a duck in the very next over, leaving Pakistan under pressure at 227 for four.

Despite the collapse around him, Abdullah Fazal had earlier shown composure during his innings before eventually returning to the pavilion after reaching 60, as Pakistan continued to struggle to build partnerships after early promise.
