Awareness Campaign and Walk Against Drug Abuse Held in Islamabad

The campaign concluded with renewed resolve from participants to spread awareness and fight against the menace of drug addiction.

Islamabad:  An impactful awareness campaign and walk aimed at combating drug abuse was organized under the leadership of Hafiz Samama Sagheer, CEO of Future Leaders Education System, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Future Leaders Education System.

The event saw active participation from ANF representatives, civil society members, educators, and prominent figures including DDR ANF Muhammad Aamir Khurshid, SHO Lohi Bher Police Station Muhammad Zahid, Executive Member PWD Housing Society Islamabad Rana Abdul Waheed Aslam, Mehboob Hussain, Ahmed Khan, Abu Bakar Rao, and Hassan Raza.

Participants carried banners and placards bearing strong anti-drug messages, while school students enthusiastically waved national flags, showcasing their zeal to support the cause.

DDR Aamir Khurshid, on behalf of Brigadier Hassan Abbas, delivered a powerful message urging the nation to unite against drug abuse:
“Say No to Drugs, Love Life – this should be our slogan. Our youth are increasingly falling victim to this menace. We must stand together to eradicate this evil from its roots.”

He highlighted the destructive nature of drugs, describing them as a poisonous killer that damages health, mindset, character, and society, leading to numerous physical, psychological, and social issues. He encouraged addicts to seek help and quit drugs, emphasizing the availability of support through the ANF helpline: 1415.

Hafiz Samama Sagheer praised the dedication of the ANF and reaffirmed his commitment to the cause, stating,
“Together, we must build a drug-free, healthy, and aware society. Future Leaders Education System will continue to support and promote such positive initiatives in the future.”
