Karachi Sees Surge in Measles Chickenpox Mumps Among Children

KARACHI: (Web Desk) – Karachi is witnessing a rise in cases of measles, chickenpox, and mumps among children, according to local health officials.

Authorities reported that affected children are showing common symptoms such as fever, body aches, and distinctive skin rashes. On average, 3 to 4 children are being brought to government hospital OPDs daily with these viral symptoms.

Medical experts warn that viral infections tend to spread more rapidly during seasonal transitions. They emphasized the importance of timely vaccinations, particularly for measles and chickenpox, to protect children and prevent outbreaks.
