Lahore: (Health Reporter) – The number of patients showing symptoms similar to COVID-19 is reportedly increasing in Lahore, while government teaching hospitals do not have facilities to test for the virus, on Monday.

According to sources, patients experiencing cough, fever, breathing difficulties and severe body aches are being reported at hospitals on a daily basis.

However, the suspected cases remain unconfirmed as COVID-19 testing is reportedly not being carried out at government teaching hospitals.

Sources said the hospitals have not arranged adequate testing facilities, leaving patients without confirmation of whether their symptoms are linked to COVID-19 or another illness.

The lack of testing and diagnosis is also making it difficult to identify suspected cases and take appropriate measures to monitor and contain any potential spread of the virus.
