Asad Qaiser Apologizes to Nation Over General Bajwa’s Extension
PTI-Asad Qaiser, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former National Assembly Speaker, has publicly apologized for the decision to extend the tenure of former Army Chief General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa.
In an interview on Samaa TV’s program ‘Nadeem Malik Live,’ Qaiser admitted that extending Bajwa’s tenure was a significant error. “I apologize to the nation for granting an extension to General Bajwa. It was a mistake we deeply regret,” he stated, reflecting on the political fallout from the decision.

Qaiser acknowledged that the extension was a “big mistake” that negatively impacted the party’s image. He also suggested that if PTI founder Imran Khan’s case is sent to a military court, the party might resort to peaceful protests and possibly take the matter to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Additionally, Qaiser expressed his disapproval of extending the tenure of Supreme Court Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, calling it unacceptable.
