Muzaffarabad: (Web Desk) – A Pakistan Army Aviation Mi-17 helicopter crashed shortly after take-off near Muzaffarabad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, resulting in the martyrdom of all personnel on board, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Initial findings indicate that the aircraft developed a technical fault during take-off, leading to the fatal accident.

The military’s media wing confirmed that there were no survivors. Rescue and recovery teams were immediately dispatched to the crash site to conduct relief operations and secure the area following the tragedy.

The Pakistan Army has constituted a Board of Inquiry to determine the exact cause of the crash and investigate the technical circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials said a detailed assessment would be carried out before final conclusions are reached.

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed profound grief over the loss of lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs. He paid tribute to the fallen personnel, stating that their sacrifices would always be remembered by the nation.
