ANF Seizes Over 150 Kilograms of Narcotics in Ongoing Crackdown

Additional Drug Seizures Across Various Airports and Highways

Islamabad: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) continues its crackdown against drug smuggling, with a series of operations underway. During 11 operations, over 150 kilograms of narcotics were seized, leading to the arrest of 6 suspects. According to an ANF spokesperson, 1.9 kilograms of ice was intercepted from a parcel destined for Australia at Lahore Airport. Additionally, a staggering 31,700 narcotic pills were confiscated from a passenger departing from Islamabad Airport, while another operation at the same airport led to the discovery of 84 heroin-filled capsules from a traveler bound for Dubai.

Furthermore, at Multan Airport, 93 ice-filled capsules were seized from a passenger heading to Qatar, while in Lahore, 950 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel dispatched to a GP office. Karachi Airport witnessed the interception of 70 grams of heroin from a package bound for Sharjah, while 75 kilograms of heroin were seized from Quetta. Near the Coastal Highway, 55 kilograms of charas were intercepted.

In further operations, 2 kilograms of heroin were seized from a suspect near Data Darbar in Lahore, 1.5 kilograms of ice were confiscated from another suspect near Tariq Road in Karachi, and 690 grams of heroin were recovered from a suspect in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi.

According to the ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations have commenced.
