Allu Arjun Replaces Salman Khan in Atlee’s Upcoming Action Film

MUMBAI: Following the tremendous success of Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun’s popularity has soared, establishing him as one of the biggest pan-India stars. His growing fan base, particularly in North India, has positioned him as a strong contender for major Bollywood projects, and reports now indicate that he has bagged a high-profile film originally intended for Salman Khan.

Atlee, the director behind the record-breaking success of Jawan, is gearing up for his next big venture. Initially, Salman Khan was set to star in the film, a high-budget action drama with a reincarnation theme. However, due to concerns over Khan’s recent box office performances, Sun Pictures, the production company behind the film, decided to replace him with Allu Arjun.

The decision to replace Salman Khan comes amid his recent string of box office setbacks, which led the producers to hesitate in investing such a large budget. With the massive success of Pushpa 2 and Allu Arjun’s growing pan-India star power, especially in North India, the producers believed Arjun was the perfect fit for the project.

The film, set to have a massive budget of $72 million, might see further increases due to Allu Arjun’s involvement. Reports also suggest that the actor’s fee, which was $36 million for Pushpa 2, could go even higher for this project.

The star-studded cast will feature three female leads, with Janhvi Kapoor being one of the top choices for a role. Another big Bollywood name is also expected to join the cast. Pre-production for the film is set to begin in April or May, with filming likely to commence later this year.

With Atlee’s track record for blockbuster hits and Allu Arjun’s unmatched screen presence, this film is shaping up to be an exciting, action-packed spectacle.
