Ali Raza Scripts History with Hat-Trick in PSL Thriller

The 18-year-old was entrusted with the final over after Karachi opted to bat first

Lahore (Web Desk): Peshawar Zalmi fast bowler Ali Raza became the youngest Pakistani to claim a T20 hat-trick after a dramatic final over against Karachi Kings in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) at Gaddafi Stadium.

The 18-year-old was entrusted with the final over after Karachi opted to bat first, and what began as a challenging spell turned into a historic moment.

Ali started with a wide before Abbas Afridi edged him for four and added a single. Khushdil Shah then struck a six, but the momentum shifted when Abbas was run out attempting a bye following another wide.

From there, Ali Raza took control. Khushdil Shah was dismissed hit wicket on the next legal delivery, marking the pacer’s first wicket of the over. He then removed Shahid Aziz with a sharp full delivery and completed his hat-trick on the final ball by clean bowling Hasan Ali.

Ali finished with impressive figures of 4/41 in four overs, with three wickets coming in the last three legal deliveries of the innings.

Earlier, Karachi Kings had built a solid platform after winning the toss and choosing to bat. David Warner was dismissed early by Ali, but Jason Roy anchored the innings with 85 off 51 balls, while Azam Khan added a quick 35 off 19.
