Adiala Jail Transfers 240 PTI Protesters to Attock District Jail
Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal): A total of 240 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists, arrested during recent protests, have been relocated from Adiala Jail to Attock District Jail due to overcrowding concerns.
According to a statement from the jail superintendent, the group includes 235 men and 5 women who were detained in connection with the protests.
Initially held at Adiala Jail under judicial remand, the prisoners were transferred to Attock District Jail due to the facility’s limited capacity.
Jail authorities have confirmed that there are currently no other inmates at Adiala awaiting trial, and an official notification regarding the transfer has been issued.
