Achakzai Threatens Nationwide Movement If Imran Khan Is Not Released

Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai has issued a warning that a nationwide political movement will be launched if former Prime Minister Imran Khan is not released within the next 15 days. Speaking to PTI supporters at a rally in Islamabad, Achakzai condemned Khan’s continued imprisonment, noting that he has been jailed for over a year on charges linked to the events of May 9 and allegations of corruption.

Achakzai expressed frustration with PTI’s leadership and the lack of progress despite substantial public support for Khan. He announced plans for a broad political movement under the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan platform, asserting that neither the military nor police could prevent their mobilization, emphasizing the people’s power.

Gandapur Claims Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Safeguarded Its Mandate

KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur declared that the people of the province had protected their mandate. He invited the nation to join them and criticized those involved in corruption and NROs, arguing that such actions have failed the people while Khan continues to receive respect even in detention.

“Journalists who accept bribes are not true journalists; they are merely selling their integrity and votes. This corrupt media is not practicing journalism but engaging in brokerage,” said Gandapur.

He also criticized state institutions, declaring that no one has the authority to conduct a military trial of the PTI founder.

Gandapur announced that the next PTI rally will be in Lahore, specifically at Minar-e-Pakistan. He warned Maryam Nawaz not to provoke PTI, stating that such actions could lead to consequences even worse than those faced by Bangladesh. He urged the nation to brace for a significant event.
