British Newspaper apologizes to PM Shehbaz for leveling corruption charges in an article

Islamabad: (Web Desk) British newspaper Daily Mail has apologized to Prime Minister for leveling corruption charges in an article. Daily Mail has apologized to PM Shahbaz Sharif withdrawing each and every allegation of corruption against him and his son-in-law Imran Ali Yousaf. Article by David Rose removed from all platforms of Mail publishers.

According to the source, it should be noted that Daily Mail failed to prove the allegations leveled by its journalist David Rose in an article against Premier Shehbaz about the alleged misappropriation of public funds.

Furthermore the Mail Online, in its clarification statement, mentioned that their article concerning PM Shehbaz entitled ‘Did the family of Pakistani politician who has become the poster boy for British overseas aid STEAL funds meant for earthquake victims’ published on July 14, 2019.

As per details it was reported on an investigation by Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) into Sharif and suggested that the money under “investigation included a not insubstantial sum of British public money that had been paid to the Punjab province in DFID grant aid.

Moreover “We accept Mr. Sharif has never been accused by the National Accountability Bureau of any wrongdoing in relation to British public money or DFID grant aid. We are pleased to make this clear and apologize to Mr. Sharif for this error,” the clarification read.
