Imran Khan Concerned Over Bushra Bibi’s Health, Seeks Relief

Adiala Jail Meeting: Imran Khan Raises Concerns Over Wife's Health

RAWALPINDI: (Staff Reporter) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has reportedly expressed concern over his wife Bushra Bibi’s health and directed his legal team to pursue relief through the courts.

According to sources, Imran Khan raised the matter during a meeting with his lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, at Adiala Jail on Monday. The meeting took place after a gap of several months and lasted around 40 minutes.

Safdar later confirmed in a post on X that he had met Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. He said the couple briefed him about their health and living conditions in prison and provided fresh instructions regarding certain legal matters and ongoing cases.

Sources said the discussion remained focused on legal and professional matters, in accordance with an earlier understanding that political issues would not be discussed.

They added that Imran Khan was already aware of developments outside the prison, including the imposition of emergency and Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, although his lawyer did not specifically brief him on these matters during the meeting.

According to the sources, Imran Khan’s own health was described as satisfactory, while Bushra Bibi’s reported eye-related problem was a particular concern for him.

He reportedly instructed his legal team to approach the relevant courts and seek appropriate relief in connection with his wife’s health.

The meeting came amid heightened political tensions following the federal government’s decision to impose emergency and Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on October 11. The move followed the suspension of the PTI-led provincial government under constitutional provisions.
