New Girls College Expands Higher Education Access in Balochistan
Balochistan CM Inaugurates Girls College in Sui
QUETTA: (News Desk) – Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Monday inaugurated Mir Ghulam Qadir Girls College in Sui, marking a step towards expanding access to higher education for female students in the region.
The newly inaugurated college is expected to provide girls from Sui and nearby areas with improved opportunities to pursue higher education closer to home. The institution will also offer educational facilities aimed at supporting students’ academic development and encouraging greater female participation in education.
The establishment of the college is expected to contribute to strengthening the local education system, improving literacy and creating more opportunities for young women to continue their studies without having to travel to distant locations.
CM Highlights Progress in Education and Healthcare
Earlier, on October 12, 2026, Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said administrative reforms and improvements in governance were producing encouraging results, particularly in the education and healthcare sectors.
According to the chief minister, complaints about teachers remaining absent from schools and doctors failing to attend their duties at hospitals had fallen to less than one per cent over the preceding three months.
Bugti attributed the reported decline to the provincial government’s monitoring mechanisms and efforts to strengthen accountability across public institutions. He said the figures reflected improvements in the implementation of government policies at the local level.
The inauguration of Mir Ghulam Qadir Girls College comes amid the provincial government’s stated efforts to improve public services and expand educational opportunities across Balochistan.
