Oil and gas giant posts its best-ever profit and dividend payout for fiscal year 2026
OGDC – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – OGDC financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026 have set a new benchmark for the company, with profit jumping 43 percent to touch an all-time high. The numbers, shared by the Board of Directors on Friday, mark one of the strongest years in the company’s history.
Net sales revenue for the year came in at Rs 449.191 billion, while profit after tax reached Rs 242.374 billion. Earnings per share climbed sharply to Rs 56.35, up from Rs 39.50 the previous year, giving investors a clear sign of the company’s improved performance.
Shareholders also have reason to celebrate. The Board approved a final cash dividend of Rs 6 per share, taking total payouts for the year to Rs 17 per share, the highest annual dividend the company has ever declared.
Beyond the balance sheet, the company played a major role in the national economy, contributing close to Rs 187 billion to the government through taxes, royalties and dividends. It also helped save the country over 3 billion dollars in foreign exchange by reducing reliance on imported fuel.
On the operations side, the year brought nine new oil and gas discoveries and the highest reserve additions in the company’s history. A standout development was the Baragzai well, which came online in April and is now producing thousands of barrels of oil daily, along with gas and LPG.
The company’s share price also outperformed the broader market, rising 52 percent during the year compared to a 44 percent gain in the benchmark index, pushing its market value past Rs 1.4 trillion.
