Rajab Butt Introduces Sumaiyya Bukhsh as New Heroine

LAHORE: (Showbiz Desk) – Social media personality Rajab Butt has introduced actress Sumaiyya Bukhsh on the set of his upcoming film, referring to her as the project’s “new heroine” and giving fans a glimpse into the lighthearted atmosphere surrounding the shoot.

Rajab welcomed Sumaiyya to the team and shared a playful conversation with her about her first day on set. The actress revealed that she had arrived around 8am and remained on location until approximately 4:30pm.

Joking about the demanding schedule, Rajab told her that she would have to become accustomed to long filming hours. When Sumaiyya asked whether the routine would remain similar, members of the team indicated that the timings would generally be the same.

Sumaiyya responded humorously that she would adjust to the schedule. Rajab continued the banter, joking that the team sometimes followed its own routine and could even end up facing a scolding from Shazi’s father.

The actress also discussed director Syed Faisal Bukhari, explaining that she had arrived according to the timing initially communicated to her. Rajab encouraged her to continue being punctual, despite the team’s occasionally unpredictable working hours.

The relaxed conversation continued as Shazi joked that the director was effectively the boss and could not easily be reprimanded by anyone.

Rajab later asked Sumaiyya about her career in the entertainment industry. She said she had been working for nearly seven years but revealed that the upcoming project would mark her film debut.

Rajab jokingly described casting her as a risk, while Sumaiyya confidently responded that audiences should wait and see what she could deliver.

The discussion also touched on fellow cast member Dogar. Sumaiyya said she had seen his character and appearance after arriving on set and believed the role had the potential to become popular. Rajab then jokingly asked her to keep an eye on Shazi as well.

Another amusing moment came when Shazi’s father commented on the number of takes required during filming. He jokingly claimed that the team had performed one scene around 75 times, prompting laughter among those present.

Sumaiyya’s arrival adds another familiar entertainment personality to Rajab Butt’s much-discussed move from digital content creation into cinema.

However, current reports have identified Amar Khan as the female lead in the upcoming film, while Rajab’s close associates Haider, Dogar and Shahbaz are also expected to feature in the project.

Directed by Syed Faisal Bukhari, the film is reportedly an action-comedy with a social theme. Production is taking place in Punjab and Bangkok, with the movie expected to hit cinemas in 2027.
