FIR Registered in Bhakkar Rape Case Involving Disabled Girl

Police launch search operation after minor allegedly assaulted at gunpoint in Ismailwala

Bhakkar – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – The Bhakkar rape case has drawn widespread attention after police registered a First Information Report against a young girl’s cousin. The accused allegedly assaulted the 12-year-old, who lives with a disability, inside her own home.

The incident took place in the Ismailwala area of Bhakkar. According to the girl’s mother, her daughter was alone at home when the accused, identified as Amir Bhatti, entered the house.

The mother told police that Bhatti allegedly held the girl at gunpoint during the assault. She said her daughter was in a vulnerable position, as she lives with a physical disability and could not defend herself or call for help.

The mother further stated that she and the girl’s brother returned home shortly after the incident began. Upon their arrival, the accused reportedly fled the scene while brandishing a pistol to stop anyone from following him.

Following the assault, the family rushed the young girl to the District Headquarters Hospital in Bhakkar. Doctors reported that she arrived in critical condition and was immediately taken in for treatment.

Local police confirmed that they have registered a case against the accused. Officers say they are examining the matter from every possible angle to build a strong case.

A search operation is now underway to locate and arrest Amir Bhatti. Police teams have been deployed across the area, and raids are reportedly being conducted at his known hideouts.

This case has once again raised concerns about the safety of children and people with disabilities in rural parts of Punjab. Many residents have expressed anger and demanded swift justice for the victim.

Local social workers say such cases often go unreported due to fear or social stigma. They are calling for stronger protections for vulnerable children, especially those living with disabilities in remote areas.

Police officials assured the family that the investigation will be handled with urgency. They also said the victim’s medical treatment and legal support will be closely monitored.

The Bhakkar rape case has sparked conversations online, with many calling for harsher punishments for crimes against children. Authorities say they are committed to bringing the accused to justice as quickly as possible.

As the search operation continues, residents are hoping for a swift arrest. The family is currently focused on the girl’s recovery while awaiting updates from the investigation team.
