Punjab Imposes One-Month Ban on Eight Stage Actresses Over Performances

LAHORE: (Staff Reporter) – The Punjab Information and Culture Department has imposed a one-month ban on eight stage actresses over allegations of obscene dance performances, immoral acts and inappropriate gestures during theatrical shows.

According to an official notification, the action was taken following monitoring reports submitted by the Punjab Council of the Arts (PUKAR). The reports highlighted performances that were deemed contrary to the prescribed standards for stage productions.

The actresses facing the ban are Mahi Rajput, Hina Sheikh, Malaika Shahzadi, Madiha Khan, Mehak Noor, Manu Multani, Raima Mehar and Hasna Jatt.

The department has instructed all relevant authorities and theatre managements to ensure strict compliance with the ban and prevent the affected performers from appearing on stage during the specified period.
