MULTAN: (Sports Reporter) – Pakistan Gold produced a commanding performance to claim the Champions Cup ODI title, defeating Pakistan Greens by 101 runs in the final at Multan Cricket Stadium.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Pakistan Gold posted a formidable 340 all out, with the innings ending on the final delivery. Saad Khan and Shamil Hussain provided the foundation for the imposing total, both completing impressive centuries.
Saad Khan led the scoring with 112 runs, while Shamil Hussain made a valuable 111. Their outstanding partnership put Pakistan Gold in a strong position before the late wickets brought the innings to a close.
For Pakistan Greens, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah claimed two wickets apiece but were unable to prevent Gold from setting a challenging target of 341.
Pakistan Greens’ chase never gained momentum as captain Shaheen Shah Afridi ripped through their batting lineup with a spectacular spell. The Greens were eventually dismissed for 239 in the 38th over, handing Gold a convincing 101-run victory.

Saad Baig offered the strongest resistance with a fighting 67, while Umair Yousuf contributed 44. However, Shaheen’s extraordinary bowling performance proved decisive.
The Pakistan Gold captain completed a sensational hat-trick and finished with remarkable figures of 7 wickets for 36 runs, turning the final firmly in his side’s favour. Razaullah, Mubasir Khan and Faisal Akram picked up one wicket each.
The emphatic victory secured the Champions Cup ODI trophy for Pakistan Gold, with centuries from Saad Khan and Shamil Hussain followed by Shaheen Afridi’s match-winning seven-wicket haul.
