Illegal Tobacco Manufacturing Unit Busted During Major FBR Raid In Swabi

SWABI: (Our Correspondent) – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has uncovered an illegal counterfeit cigarette manufacturing unit operating inside a school building in the Mansabdar area of Swabi during a targeted enforcement operation.

During the raid, officials confiscated a cigarette-making machine, an HLP cigarette packing machine, two cellophane wrapping machines, a bundle packing machine, counterfeit cigarette sticks, nearly 400 kilograms of cut tobacco, three drums of glue, and two bags containing fake Tobacco Track and Trace System (TTS) stickers.

According to the FBR, the operation forms part of its nationwide campaign against the illegal production and distribution of counterfeit tobacco products. Authorities said efforts will continue to crack down on tax evasion and illicit cigarette manufacturing across the country.
