Actor Gohar Rasheed Advocates Royalty Payments for Behind-the-Scenes Entertainment Workers
KARACHI: (Showbiz Desk) – Pakistani actor Gohar Rasheed has urged the entertainment industry to introduce royalty payments for crew members, saying those working behind the scenes deserve long-term financial recognition for their contributions.
Speaking during a recent podcast, Gohar said leading actors and filmmakers who have already achieved financial success should now focus on supporting the technicians and production staff who play a vital role in creating films and television dramas.
He emphasized that crew members should receive royalties for their work, arguing that their efforts contribute significantly to the success of every production and should continue to be rewarded beyond the initial payment.
The actor added that industry leaders have a responsibility to ensure fair compensation for workers and warned that ignoring this issue would eventually lead to accountability.
