ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – The Petroleum Division has issued a notification confirming that the existing petroleum levy on petrol, diesel and kerosene will remain unchanged.
According to the notification, the levy on petrol has been maintained at Rs80 per litre, while diesel levy remains at Rs70.82 per litre. The government has also kept the levy on kerosene unchanged at Rs20.36 per litre.
The development comes after the government announced an increase in petroleum product prices for three days under the revised pricing mechanism.
According to the Petroleum Division’s notification, the price of diesel has been increased by Rs31.50 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs354.35 per litre.
The price of petrol has also risen by Rs5.44 per litre, with the new rate reaching Rs316.15 per litre.
The government has recently introduced a system under which petroleum product prices will be reviewed and determined on a daily basis to reflect market changes.
