Islamabad Police Seize Illegal Arms, Arrest 111 Suspects During Operation

ISLAMABAD: (Crime Reporter) – Islamabad police have arrested 111 suspects during a 10-day crackdown against illegal weapons and the unauthorized display of arms across the federal capital.

According to police officials, the operation resulted in the recovery of a large quantity of illegal weapons, including 11 Kalashnikovs and rifles, 93 pistols of different calibers and six daggers.

Police also arrested an alleged illegal arms dealer, identified as Shah Sahib Jan, during the ongoing campaign. Authorities said three automatic machine guns, one Kalashnikov, two .30-bore pistols and one revolver were recovered from his possession.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said Islamabad Police has adopted a zero-tolerance approach toward illegal weapons and the public exhibition of firearms.

He added that targeted operations against individuals involved in unlawful arms possession will continue across the city to improve public safety and maintain law and order.
