WASHINGTON: (News Desk) – US authorities have announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Faheem Akram, a 33-year-old Pakistani national from Khanewal, Punjab, who has been indicted in Florida over an alleged online fraud scheme.
According to US authorities, Akram allegedly operated a website called “Labels Bank”, which sold counterfeit postage stamps and shipping labels to customers across the United States.
Investigators allege that the scheme resulted in approximately $126 million in losses to the US Postal Service, equivalent to around Rs35 billion in Pakistani currency.
US authorities reportedly seized and shut down the website as part of their investigation.

According to the allegations, more than 5,200 customers purchased over five million fraudulent postage products through the platform. The discounted shipping labels were allegedly sold without properly accounting for factors including the destination and weight of the mail.
Authorities have warned members of the public not to attempt to apprehend Akram themselves.
Instead, anyone with information about his whereabouts has been urged to contact US law enforcement. His current location remains unknown.
The US reward is being offered for information that leads to Akram’s arrest, as authorities continue their efforts to locate him.
