Dear
Sir/Madam,
Subject: PITCH: 18yo Pakistani Student’s Sketch of a Mosque using Microscopic Physics Formulae
Greetings and Good Evening,
My name is Shanzai Khattak. I am an 18-year-old student from Pakistan, currently residing in Kenya. I am not an artist, but have just completed a deeply personal, year-long project that bridges my longing for our culture, beautiful homeland and rich history embedded with the heavy world of physics formulae.
I have created an intricate, hand-drawn sketch of Lahore’s iconic Badshahi Masjid where every single line is built entirely out of microscopic physics formulae. The details are so tiny, intricate and minute, that one requires a magnifying glass to see these properly.

I started this one of a kind masterpiece in 11th grade and finally finished it after a yearlong struggle in 12th grade. Physics can be incredibly overwhelming, and whenever I felt completely staggered by the subject or intensely felt homesick for Pakistan; I would sit down and force myself to draw this piece of art.
Living in Kenya, I am physically separated from my homeland, but my mind and heart remain deeply tied to Pakistan. By choosing the Badshahi Masjid—a grand symbol of Pakistan’s historical heritage, history and identity—I chose to spend an entire year staring at and recreating a part of my country. The artwork is a physical manifestation of keeping my homeland alive in my heart, using my discipline to honor my country from across the oceans.
I naturally demand flawless results from myself, so I used this piece to break that cycle as well. I left tiny mistakes here and there intentionally, forcing myself to accept the flaws and move forward rather than tearing up the page and starting over. It taught me that trying to achieve perfection hinders growth. Actual growth and development comes from the mistakes we make and from the flaws we accept. Pakistan is an epitome of this – a nation with scars that refuses to give up, proving that real strength comes from facing imperfections, moving forward and growing against all odds.
Given how much your audience loves unique human-interest stories, viral student achievements, and art with a powerful patriotic heartbeat, I know this story will deeply resonate with your readers.
I have attached:
• High-resolution photos of the full Badshahi Masjid artwork.
• A video zooming in close to show a transition from the grand mosque down to the tiny equations of Physics.
You have my consent to publish these visuals on your website and social media platforms.
Thank you so much for your time and supporting student stories. I am sure this will find a little space on your esteemed web platform.
Warm regards,
Shanzai Khattak
