Ishaq Dar Cairo Meeting: Pakistan Joins R-4 Talks

Ishaq Dar Cairo Meeting Brings Four Nations Together for Peace

Pakistan – (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has left for Cairo to join the Ishaq Dar Cairo meeting, where top diplomats from four countries will sit together to talk about peace and security in the region.

The meeting is set for Sunday, June 21. It will bring together the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye. This is the fourth time these four countries are meeting under the R-4 framework.

The Foreign Office said the ministers will discuss ongoing regional developments. They will also share views on how to keep the region stable and move toward lasting peace.

On the sidelines, Dar will hold one-on-one talks with his counterparts from all participating countries. He will also meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss Pakistan-Egypt ties.

Both countries want to deepen cooperation in different fields. The talks will also cover regional and international issues that matter to both sides.

The R-4 group first came together in March this year, when Dar hosted foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye in Islamabad. Since then, the group has been meeting regularly.

Pakistan sees this platform as an important way to push for dialogue and stability across the region.
